A single luxury cottage welcomes honeymooners, two couples
or a family….. international dining, fantastic diving at the Great Astrolabe Reef, a whole kilometer of private beach, nature trails and more.......but privacy is paramount.
Our twenty acre property fronts on a pristine marine reserve, meaning an abundance of oceanic life for terrific snorkeling and diving. We also offer excursions to uninhabited nearby islands for a private picnic, bird watching, hiking and visits to a local village or school to experience authentic Fijian hospitality.
Accommodation
Koro Makawa is the perfect serene, romantic setting for your wedding, honeymoon or special anniversary, complete your own private staff. Your cottage is surrounded by a large deck with an infinity plunge pool and superb ocean view; the two bedrooms, living room, dining area and large bathroom are appointed with your comfort in mind.
Cuisine
A fine selection of international and local cuisine is featured daily (different each day) and since we ask before you arrive, we are able to cater for specific requests, e.g. vegetarian, or avoid items that you dislike or to which you may be allergic. You’re served when and where you want to be served - your cottage, the main house or at one of several special locations outside.
Weddings
For a truly memorable occasion the ambience of Koro Makawa is superb. Like something unique? We’ll arrange a Fijian style wedding complete with local minister, music and warriors in traditional dress. If you prefer a more conventional style we can make any arrangements you wish.
Location
Koro Makawa Resort is on the east side of Ono Island south of Fiji's main island Viti Levu, 55 miles south of Suva, Fiji’s capital. Flights to the island originate in Nadi, Fiji’s international gateway, and take about 45 minutes to Kadavu Airport. The resort’s boat will take you from there to the resort.
